This is the installer for the current management software for the Focus RAND¥E Ethernet Remote Acess server. Archive contains two 800K disk images created with Disk Copy 4.2.  Stuffit 3.0 archive.

Name: Network Software Installer  (v. 1.4.3)

The current models of Power Macintosh (Power Macintosh 6100, 7100 and 8100 as well as Apple WorkGroup Servers 6150, 7150 and 8150) are incompatible with the TurboStar when any version of the Network Software Installer other than 1.4.3 is installed.  The symptoms are extremely slow or non-existent network access by the Power Macintoshes on that part of the network.

The Apple Network Software Installer 1.4.3 should be installed onto any Power Macintosh connected to a TurboStar. It need not be installed on any other Macintosh.

However, please be aware that NSI 1.4.3 does not support the Power Macintosh GeoPort (one reason why NSI 1.4.3 was superseded).  A hardware upgrade is available for the TurboStar that resolves this whole problem.  Please call Focus Tech Support for more details.

Extensions for the use of the Focus CD-ROM drive.

Drag the icons "CDINIT (535MS)", "Audio CD Access", "Foreign File Acess", "High Sierra File Access" and "ISO 9660 File Access" onto your System Folder icon.  (System 7: Click "OK" at the dialog box that follows)

System 6:  Install "Focus CD Control DA" using Font/DA Mover.

System 7:  Drag the "Focus CD Control" icon onto your System Folder icon.  Click "OK" at the dialog box that follows.  (Focus CD Control is an aplication that can actually live anywhere, but is intended to live in your Apple Menu Items folder.)

You must restart for this software to become available.  Stuffit 3.0 archive.

This is Version 1.4.8 of EtherLan SC/SC-T Installer for rthe Focus EtherLAN SC and SC-T SCSI Ethernet adapters.

The EtherLAN SC- and SC-T Will not work with the following computers:
Centris, Quadra, or Power Macintosh models, Mac LC & Performa 475, 476, 575.

This software is the latest version of the EtherLAN Card Installer. Do NOT use it with the Macintosh Quadra 605 or 630, LC or Performa 475, 476, 575 or 630. Use Apple's EtherTalk software, which is supplied with your Macintosh, instead.  This software is applicable to the EtherLAN MiniSC SCSI Ethernet adapter, and to the OLDER versions (only) of the Focus EtherLAN card (these cards can be identified by the presence of a large square IC marked "MX"). This software is the latest version of the EtherLAN Card Installer. This fixes a problem with our cards when installed into the Macintosh LC III. Use it ONLY with FOCUS Enhancements' NEWER EtherLAN Cards. These cards can be identified by the presense of a large square IC marked "SMC".  Compressed disk image.  Image created with Disk Copy 4.2.
